President: Professor Francesco Marincola
Dr Matincola is a Chief and Professor of Infectious Disease and Immunogenetics Laboratory Section (IDIS) in DTM. He was appointed as an Associate Director for genomic studies of the Trans-NIH Center for Human Immunology in 2008, and then Director of FOCIS Center for Excellence in Immunology in 2009. Dr. Marincola has made a great contribution in promoting translational medicine worldwide. He lunched the Journal of Translational Medicine as an Editor-in-Chief far before the importance of Translational Medicine was being recognized. He has more than 400 papers published in peer reviewed journals. He is also an Editor-in-Chief for ASHI Quarterly; US Senior Editor of Immunotherapy, Associate Editor for The Journal of Immunotherapy and The Journal of Immunology, Tumori, and Clinical Cancer Research; Section Editor for Expert Opinion in Biological Therapy; Editorial Board for Cancer Immunology & Immunotherapy, The Journal of Experimental and Clinical Cancer Research and Annals of Surgical Oncology. He is a member Scientific Advisory Board for FDA, Pfizer Scientific, and Hybrivax Inc. Dr. Marincola is the President the International Society of Biological Therapy for Cancer (iSBTc).
 
Past President: Professor Richard Coico
Dr Coico is a Professor of Microbiology, Immunology, and Medicine, Senior Associate Dean for Research, and Senior Associate Vice President for Health Sciences Center Research at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He also serves as Co-Director of the Keystone Institute for Translational Medicine (KITM) based at Temple’s School of Medicine. He has also served as Vice Provost for Inter-Campus Research at Cornell University. Dr. Coico is Series Editor of Current Protocols in Immunology and a member of several other editorial boards including Current Protocols in Microbiology, the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease, and the American Journal of Translational Research.
 
Senior Vice President: Professor Joseph S. Alpert
Dr Alpert is a Professor of Medicine in Department of Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine (UA COM) at Tucson and Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Medicine. He served as Director of coronary care at the Naval Regional Medical Center in San Diego, Head of the Samuel A. Levine Cardiac Unit at Brigham Hospital and Professor and Director of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. Alpert is a Master of the American College of Physicians and a fellow of the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology (ACC), the American College of Chest Physicians, and the European Society of Cardiology. He has received many awards for excellence in teaching from the Brigham Hospital, the United States Navy, the University of Massachusetts, and the UA COM. In 2004, he received the Gifted Teacher Award from the ACC. He has served on the Boards of Trustees of the ACC, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the Association of University Professors. He has authored 48 books and monographs and more than 600 publications.
 
Executive Vice President: Professor Xiangdong Wang
Dr Wang is adjunct professor at North Carolina State University, Deputy President of National Professional Society of Insurance & Health, Senior advisor of Chinese Medical Doctor Association. He serves as Asian Editor of Journal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine.
 
Director of Education: Professor Roland Andersson
Dr Andersson is the Professor of Surgery and Deputy Director of Clinical Sciences, Deputy Dean of Medical Faculty, Lund University, Sweden and President of Swedish Society of Upper Abdominal Surgery. He serves as the member of the editorial boards of British Journal of Surgery and HPB, and Audit Officer of European Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association.
